dc.description.abstract The work reported in this thesis was conducted to convert plastic waste that is a major source of solid pollution in Pakistan into liquid fuel applying the processes of Pyrolysis. The pyrolysis reactor consisting of high strength Pyrex round bottom flask was constructed in the lab and applied to convert plastic waste into liquid fuel. 280g of sample of plastic waste was pyrolysed and the products obtained were 120g of liquid oil, 100g solid, 60g gas thus the yield of liquid fuel from the plastic waste was 43% wt. along with solid mass 36%wt.The results clearly indicate that there is significant potential of production of liquid fuel from plastic waste in Pakistan and also in the world. en_US
