dc.description.abstract Gender inequality is prevalent in almost all social and economic outcomes in Pakistan. In this thesis, we, however, focus only on the labour market outcomes of women and explore the likely determinants of these outcomes to better understand the source of gender inequality in these outcomes. The two labour market outcomes of women in Punjab that this thesis analyses are wages in chapters 2 and 3 and female labour force participation in chapter 4. The three drivers of these labour market outcomes that we primarily focus on in each of the chapters are job opportunities in chapter 2, years of education in chapter 3 and a motivational nudge in chapter 4. en_US
