| dc.description.abstract | This article seeks to ascertain the impact of devolution on the everyday life of the residents of Union Council Bhangali. Information is based primarily on a sample survey of the population. Limited knowledge of and interaction of residents with the union council administration shows that the union council does not play a pivotal role in the lives of the people. No significant improvement in the delivery of public services such as maintenance of public streets, drains, streetlights, garbage collection and disposal is reported. Provision of medical and educational services, supply of electricity and of drinking water, not the responsibility of union administration were reported to be relatively satisfactory. | en_US |
